November 14 & 15, 2008 - Davenport
8th Annual Quilts and Tea Festival, Friday and Saturday,
in historic district of Davenport, Florida 33837. 9 to 3 each day.
Documentation of Florida Quilts will be a new venue for this years
event sponsored by the Davenport Historical Society.
Quilt, tea, antique and food boutiques along with vintage
vehicles, will add to this rural atmosphere festival.
Hands on Quilting Bee, Re-enactments of tea and quilts in the
1860's, a Bed Turning and The Last Supper Quilt.
The Queens Tea Luncheon and The Earl of Sandwich Luncheon.
Please call 863-422-4662 for luncheon reservations.
Carriage rides and historic tours of the district will again be a
part of this event.

Florida Cabin Fever Quilters Quilt Show at the Central
Florida Fair Grounds. The
Florida Cabin Fever Quilt Guild is pleased to present the 2009
Quilt Show at the Central Florida Fair Grounds. We will have
approximately 25 vendors for a variety of interests, a
Boutique, Miniature and Chinese Auctions, lots of door prizes and
most importantly lots of wonderful quilts to see. Our food
service is being expanded for this year to make it easier for
people to get lunch and continue looking and shopping.

Largo Cracker Quilters, Inc. will be hosting their biennial
quilt show, Celebrate the Quilt Explore the Art 10:00 am –
4:00 pm.

200 quilts, demonstrations, vendors, boutique, door prizes,
charity quilt drawing, appraisals, and programs. Both days of the
show, Julianna Havens Rittmeyer will be in costume for periods
represented as she reveals the roles of two female ancestors who
married into families who immigrated to New England in 1635.
Textiles, reproductions of patterns and fabrics from the eras will
be shown. Several quilts will be displayed along with the stories
she tells.
