Next Meeting March 20, 2010 (National Quilting Day) Daytona Beach

Get ready for a good time in Daytona Beach as we have a Saturday morning meeting at the Sewing Garrett in Daytona Beach (from 10 am to before noon).

During the meeting you’ll get your tickets for the afternoon event.

After a break, we will re-assemble at 1 pm for "Quilts, Tea & Creativity" sponsored by Racing Fingers Quilt Guild at the Museum of Arts & Sciences, 352 South Nova Road, Daytona Beach.

We’ll enjoy:

• A visit to the museum’s exhibits (including a private quilt collection)

• A formal afternoon tea

• The lecture “Working Creatively” by Linda Matthews.

There will be:

• A display of local quilts

• A quilt & craft boutique for your shopping pleasure

• Many door prizes!

The event will be over by 4:00pm.

Your email confirmation will include info on local motels, quilt shops in the area, and other items of interest. Include an SASE if you need a printed version.
 

Friday Night Sit & Stitch
	Arriving in Daytona Beach the night before? Join other SSQA members for an informal Sit & Stitch at the Hampton Inn, 155 Interchange Blvd., Ormond Beach FL 32174. That’s at I-95 Exit 268, State Rt. 40 and Granada Blvd.

Reservations
	If you’d like to book a room, call the motel direct at 1-877-677-9998 and ask for Group: State Quilters Association, code SQA (just one S). The cost is $89 for a non-smoking double, with hot breakfast and free WIFI. Make your reservation by March 1 to be sure of a room.

PLEASE NOTE: A block of tickets is being held for SSQA, so the sooner you register the better. The afternoon tea event is open to the public and tickets will be going fast!
